The "Context of Sexuality in France" (CSF) survey took a broad perspective. It includes the three components of sexuality (acts, relationships and meanings), while simultaneously recording them in individual trajectories, in the social context, life circumstances and forms of the reports between men and women. A "Health and Sexuality" approach was prioritised to consider HIV infection as well as contraception, elective abortions, STIs (sexually transmitted infections), sexual violence, dysfunction and other sexual problems. The survey also includes an epidemiological extension aimed at studying, for the first time in France, the prevalence of Chlamydia Trachomatis infection and the risk factors for contamination.
