In 2013, DGOS and ANR launched a first joint call for projects in translational health research, the STRP. In continuation, the Action Plan 2014 of ANR includes in its fourth challenge, "health wellness", a sub-axis on the same theme. DGOS has launched its campaign in 2014, including nine calls for projects including a corresponding call to the sub-axis.

After three years of exercising this responsibility, Dr. Jean-Paul Moatti, professor of health economics at the University of Aix-Marseille (AMU) and director of the UMR 912 AMU / INSERM / IRD (SESSTIM ), leaves the direction of the Itmo. He is replaced by Professor Geneviève Chêne, PU-PH Public Health at the University of Bordeaux, leader of the team "Infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and associated diseases" of the Research Centre "Epidemiology and biostatistics "Inserm / University UMR 897 and CIC clinical epidemiology unit of Bordeaux, head of division of public health at the University Hospital of Bordeaux. She was a member of the Committee of Wise Men for the national health strategy.

On 29 November 2013, the legal status of ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) was officially awarded to ECRIN (European network for clinical research infrastructures). This Community legal framework is designed to facilitate development and operation of research infrastructures of European interest. ECRIN-ERIC is a distributed infrastructure whose purpose is to support multinational clinical trials in Europe.
