The objectives of this survey are to follow the changes in certain behaviors, but also to
build promotion strategies for health and to influence health policies in favor of young people. The international and multidisciplinary dimension of the survey is an undisputed wealth of information for understanding the behaviors and lifestyles of young Frenchmen.
The HBSC survey follows a research protocol that is common to all of the countries, in order to standardize the sampling and data collection methods as much as possible.

General objective: To prospectively study clinical and paraclinical evolution as well as prognostic factors for autoimmune haemolytic anaemia, Evans syndrome and chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura among children in France - To generate support for a basic and therapeutic research network for these diseases Secondary objectives - To develop a biobank to study the physiopathological mechanisms of these diseases - To generate support for a national network for epidemiological, clinical, biological and therapeutic research for these diseases

To investigate the potential link between the occurence of brain tumours and the use of new communication devices as well as other environmental exposures.

To investigate the influence of the following on childhood cancer risk: pregnancy outcome, child's characteristics at birth, child's environment in utero or during childhood, parents' profession and lifestyle, successive domicile communities, family history of cancer, birth defects, or autoimmune diseases. To identify genetic predispositions capable of modulating the function of these factors, including polymorphisms in genes involved in the transport and metabolism of xenobiotics, DNA repair, immune response, or in embryonic development and cell differentiation. To investigate the interactions between these polymorphisms and environmental factors.
