Database objective | |
Main objective |
RECAP is a continuous data collection designed to find out and monitor the characteristics of psychoactive substance users treated by professionals in Specialised Drug Addiction Treatment Centres (CSST),
Outpatient Alcohol Treatment Centres (CCAA) and, since their creation, Addictology Treatment Support and Prevention Centres (CSAPA). The public authorities need the data collected in this way to define and assess their drug policy, and especially to identify trends in the use of services. The national data must also prompt treatment professionals to examine their own actions by providing food for thought. |
Inclusion criteria | Data is collected on all persons in France with an addiction problem, substance-related or otherwise, who have received at least one treatment over the course of the year in the structure that admits them. The concept of treatment episode is very expansive here, since the simple act of admitting someone can be considered as a treatment episode. Substance users seen in counselling clinics for young users should also be included in the data collection. |
