Database objective
Main objective General objective: the Haguenau cohort was formed in 1994 to study the long-term metabolic consequences of low birth weight (type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome).
Inclusion criteria Individuals were selected based on their birth details recorded in the Haguenau Maternity Hospital registry between 1971 and 1985 by INSERM. Two parallel groups were selected: individuals with low birth weight (LBW) <10th percentile of the distribution, and the next registered birth with a weight between the 25th and 75th percentiles as the case-control.
