Additional information regarding sample selection. Case study is comprised of subjects under 15 years of age at the time of the Chernobyl accident who developed differentiated thyroid cancer between 2002 and 2006 in one of the following 7 Eastern regions in France: Champagne-Ardennes, Lorraine, Franche Comté, Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Corsica. Case-controls are randomly selected from the general population and matched according to gender, age and region of residence.
Database objective
Main objective To highlight genetic and environmental factors that contribute to the onset of differentiated thyroid cancer in children and young adults. To study the potential consequences of the Chernobyl accident.
