Additional information regarding sample selection. Thirty general practitioners (10 per département), randomly selected from the Health Insurance database (AMELI) to have have 60% men, 10% practising physicians in Sector 2, 30% in a rural setting and 20%, 40% and 40% in "affluent", "average" or "poor" areas respectively, as well as 30 specialists (gynaecologists, radiologists and gastroenterologists) were interviewed.
Database objective
Main objective To analyse the representation of healthcare professionals involved in cancer screening concerning social inequalities associated with cancer screening, the role of general practitioners in reducing these inequalities and possible screening developments organised by French cancer centres to overcome these inequalities.
