Procedures
Data collection method Every road traffic injury accident must be the object of a BAAC (analysis bulletin of road traffic injury accidents), filled by the police or a competent gendarmerie officer (almost 3500 collect points). The feeds are different for BAAC coming from gendarmerie or national police. The information is centralized at ONISR, where it's checked and verified. For alcohol: when the agents arrive on the scene of an accident, they must control blood alcohol content of all the drivers and pedestrians implied (screening and blood alcohol content by blood sample for dead or seriously injured users, breathalyzer for uninjured or lightly injured ones). This information is recorded inside BAAC.
