Additional information regarding sample selection. |
The random sampling of the three subpopulations (white, red and mobile-only lists) provides a good representation of the population, in particular by increasing the likelihood of inclusion of people who are difficult to interview.
The sample was constructed via a simple two-stage random sampling. The first stage consisted of the sample of the 4 telephone numbers (dwellings) to be queried. The second stage corresponded to those interviewed who were randomly selected (first name method) among the people living in the dwelling. The list of eligible people was that of the people usually living (main residence) in the dwelling and speaking French for obvious technical constraints, and aged 15 years and over. In case of refusal after selection, the household was withdrawn, which implied having to minimise the refusal rates. |
Database objective | |
Main objective |
The purpose of this survey is to describe the physical activity and sporting practices in a precise way, whether independent or supervised, and to show, as far as possible, the greatest diversity of practices, emerging practices, to measure the number of members of a sports federation and characterise the sociodemographic profiles of the respondents, from those who practised regularly to those who did not practise at all.
The purpose of the accident component is to provide an overview of the reported prevalence of accidents related to these practices in the population aged 15 years and over residing in France, and to identify certain risk factors for these accidents, as well as the people most exposed to them |
