Additional information regarding sample selection. | 1,800 selected general practitioners that agreed to participate in the study, which includes 4 subjects with acute common lower back pain. Subjects are divided into two groups. Subjects enrolled in the control group will receive non-standardised verbal information from their general practitioner. In addition to non-standardised verbal information from their general practitioner, subjects enrolled in the case study group will receive "The Back Guide" information leaflet on their first consultation after being informed of its contents, objectives and use. |

Data collection method | Data collected on information sheet. Will be conducted by physician using a specific questionnaire. The assessment criterion is the transition to a chronic state, which is defined by persistent pain at 3 months. Lower back pain history, professional practices, continued training and the concerns and beliefs of physicians are also collected. Measurement of the impact of verbal and/or written information from The Back Pain" educational programme provided by the observing physician on the transition to chronic state of common lower back pain. Subject follow-up will be conducted during the fourth month. |
