Main objective |
In terms of public health (surveillance, evaluation): - Fill in the absence of French data on the incidence, mortality, handicap and recurrence rates of stroke and TIA - Evaluate this data in order to assess the impact of the measures of prevention, curative treatments and medical practices In terms of research: - Obtain objective epidemiological data on stroke and TIA in a well-defined population in order to evaluate the frequency, the severity and the cost - Evaluate new etiologies leading to screening and prevention campaigns for stroke and TIA - Evaluate the care practices in the Hospital, Clinics and at home in Dijon and the intervention campaigns - Provoke experimental work on the physiopathology of stroke and TIA that should result in new therapies - Provoke the setting up of a network of the various stakeholders intervening in caring for stroke and TIA in the town of Dijon but also in the Burgundy region |

Patients representing recorded cases of: - Stroke (infarcts, intra-cerebral hemorrhages and subarachnoid hemorrhages) - Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) |
