Optimising History Taking for Evaluating The Risk of Venous Thromboembolism

July 21 2015

To evaluate current risk factors that fit today's practice and long-term prognosis for different anatomical and clinical forms of symptomatic thromboembolism (proximal and distal deep vein thrombosis, superficial venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism) Follow-up covers recurrent VTE, arterial thrombotic events (coronary, CVA, PAD), onset of cancer, haemorrhagic stroke, post-thrombotic syndrome and death.

Cohort of patients overexposed during a course of conformal radiotherapy for a prostate adenocarcinoma in Jean Monnet Hospital in Epinal

July 21 2015

To correlate received doses and volume of irradiated normal tissues in the cohort of patients who underwent overexposure of varying degrees, as well as complications observed with biologic, phenotypic and genetic data. The incidence and severity of iatrogenic effects and sequelae of radiotherapy (according to soma-lent and CTCAE scales) are correlated using a precise reconstruction of actual irradiation dosimetry received by each patient (total radiation dose prescribed and issued by daily controls) according to technical dossier data and system treatment planning. Secondary objective: to gather biological collections from blood samples (serum bank, DNA bank, lymphocytes) to correlate iatrogenic complications and radiation doses to normal tissues with biologic, phenotypic and genetic data. These collections will be used to: - identify factors associated with susceptibility to radiation-induced complications in normal tissues; - study radiation fibrosis biology; - study normal tissue radiosensitivity: rectal wall; - study the biological control dose-response relationship for prostate adenocarcinoma; - implement radiogenic fibrosis treatment protocols.

Psychiatric, addictive and psychological factors involved in the medical and surgical prognosis of liver and kidney transplantations

July 21 2015

General objective: to evaluate whether psychiatric, addictive and psychological factors reported on waiting lists have an impact on medico-surgical outcome for liver and kidney transplantations. Secondary objective: to evaluate whether psychiatric, addictive and psychological factors reported after transplant have an impact on medico-surgical outcome for liver and kidney transplantations.

Adult Health Childhood GH

July 21 2015

To resolve outstanding issues concerning growth hormone deficiency, Turner's syndrome and patients treated with growth hormone. Secondary objectives: - To explain the frequency and severity of hormonal, metabolic, skeletal, and cardiovascular events during life as well as their determinants. - To identify patient subgroups according to the severity and their phenotypic and/or genetic characteristics in relation to both French molecular genetics laboratories, hospitals and INSERM for developmental pituitary gland abnormalities. - To better understand patient outcome in terms of education, social and professional insertion and psychological impact. - To improve appropriate treatment strategies during childhood and the transition into adulthood. - To reassess the long-term effectiveness of growth hormone treatment for growth hormone deficiency. Several questions remain outstanding, in addition to high cost, the effectiveness on final height as well as the quality of life for a significant number of patients. - To monitor long-term tolerance with particular focus on tumour risk
