ITMO Santé Publique organizes its second annual symposium entitled “ « Personalized » medicine and biomedical innovations : public health, economic, ethical and social issues”, the 5th of December in Paris. “Personalized” medicine represents an important axis of the European program Horizon 2020 in the next few years. This second edition of the ITMO Santé Publique symposium is related to this theme gathering researchers and public health operators around public health, economic, ethical and social issues associated to “personalized” medicine and biomedical innovations. This symposium will lead to multidisciplinary exchanges between medical innovations carriers and social sciences, economics, epidemiology and public health researchers.
The day will be organized in three sessions, introduced by conferences, presented by Ruth Chadwick (Cardiff University) and Ivo Gut (Centre Nacional d'Anàlisi Genòmica, Barcelona),
Véronique Thouvenot (Fondation Millennia 2025, Geneva) and Isaac Kohane (Harvard Medical
School), Bartha Knoppers (McGill University, Montréal) and Theresa Marteau (King's College,
London).
The event will allow as well to present the researches in progress in the framework of “Alliance Nationale pour les Sciences de la Vie et de la Santé” and will be closed by a round table chaired by Jean-Paul Moatti (ITMO Santé Publique director). The program is available and inscriptions are open.
