Additional information regarding sample selection. Sampling: The surveying rate of the initial sample formed in 1995 is 1/40, or around 17,830 pupils. The survey scope is the whole of the initial sample, not including deaths and moves abroad. This scope breaks down into two parts:
- the young people sampled in the panel in 1995 who left the education system in or before 2005. They were surveyed by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).
- the young people sampled in the panel in 1995 who were still in the education system in 2007. They were surveyed by the Directorate for Evaluation, Forecasting and Performance (DEPP)
Database objective
Main objective The initial objective of the panel is to observe how school pathways turn out for pupils who entered sixth grade in 1995. Upon leaving secondary school, the annual questioning of the EVA survey and SUP survey keep track of the panel and observe how the young person's personal situation, studies, professional life and living conditions evolve.
The complementary health questionnaire rounded off this panorama on an ad hoc basis in 2007, by providing information about young people's lifestyles, social and sex lives, mental health, at-risk behaviors, use and/or abandonment of health care and major health events they have experienced in the past and as adults.
