| Additional information regarding sample selection. | Schizophrenic subjects were recruited from university hospital adult psychiatry services in Amiens and Lille, as well as patient recruited from the non-sectoral, short-stay psychology unit in Amiens University Hospital and presenting with an affective, neurotic or personality disorder. Diagnoses made by the psychiatrist according to ICD-10 diagnostic criteria using research diagnostic criteria. |

| Main objective | To clarify the psychometric properties (validity, fidelity) of the French version of the TEPS and to confirm the deficit in schizophrenic subjects in relation to healthy subjects. |
| Inclusion criteria | Schizophrenic subjects were recruited from university hospital adult psychiatry services in Amiens and Lille, as well as patients recruited from the non-sectoral, short-stay psychology unit in Amiens University Hospital, and presenting with an affective, neurotic or personality disorder. Diagnoses made by the psychiatrist according to ICD-10 diagnostic criteria using research diagnostic criteria. Exclusion criteria: addicted to or misusing alcohol or psychoactive substances; severe organic disease and poor understanding of French. |
