Additional information regarding sample selection. Telephone survey (CATI) 1999 and 2002 survey years: picking of households, picking of a 15-75 year-old individual from the household using the quota method. The criteria selected for the quotas are gender, age, profession of the head of household, region and category of urban area.
When an individual selected cannot come to the phone at the time of the call, a meeting may be arranged, which the CATI system manages when necessary.
Complementary survey through an abridged questionnaire to 200 users of cell phones only (without household subscription to a landline).
2008 survey year: Random sampling with two representative samples, one concerning people with a landline and the other those with only a cell phone. Sampling of landlines by two-tiered sampling with the household being picked by incrementation method and then the individual being selected by the KISH questioning method. Sampling of cell phones by generating random numbers - respecting the market shares of the 3 main operators.
