Additional information regarding sample selection. Of the 1,894 public and private nursery schools in the region, 112 were selected by a stratified random draw on the number of children enrolled in the first and second year of nursery school per school and the type of area (priority education zone [ZEP], rural area outside ZEP, urban area outside ZEP, peri-urban area outside ZEP), according to classifications of academic inspections (1999) and the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) (2001). The sampling frame was made up of files transmitted by the departments of the academies of Aix-Marseille and Nice
Database objective
Main objective The objectives are:
●to analyse the association between the prevalence and social characteristics at an individual level;
●to study, independently of the individual characteristics, the links between the prevalence and the residential context approached by the municipalities. For the latter, two variables are distinguished, one linked to the level of precariousness, the other to the type of locality, urban, peri-urban or rural.
