Database objective
Main objective The objective of the study was to analyse the relationship between this determinant of health and body mass index (BMI) in adolescents.
Inclusion criteria All the pupils of these establishments were invited within the framework of physical education or sports classes. From the age of 15 years, a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q (1)) was completed by each participant prior to the assessment tests.

Details of collected clinical data The data collected included age, sex, body mass index (BMI = weight/height2, in kg/m2) and two speed criteria (m/s) measured 13. The categorisation of BMI for children was based on the French corpulence curves included in the National Health Nutrition Plan and the thresholds of the International Obesity Task Force (IOTF) 16 with the IOTF25 and IOTF30 criteria defining overweight and obesity. Children with a BMI below the 3rd percentile were considered underweight.
