Additional information regarding sample selection. 3 groups:
- Group 1 having a consultation with the physician from the local Mission. It consists of an investigation of the youths' health condition, their relationships with care structures, their knowledge and attitudes regarding health prevention. It is also intended to determine the nature of the youths' needs, to direct them toward the suitable care structures and to provide them with advice regarding health education. The youths and the physician subsequently decide on the frequency of their meetings. The youths may also begin psychological monitoring if they would like. Lastly, the youths' rights to compensation are optimised, i.e. a person from the local Mission performs the necessary procedures with the competent institutional structures in order to allow them to receive the largest possible welfare benefits.
- Group 2 only receives optimisation of rights to compensation.
- Group 3 is the control group. They do not receive the medical consultation or optimisation of their rights to compensation, and are monitored normally by their advisor
Database objective
Main objective The objectives of this project, titled "Presaje", were to find out the health conditions and attitudes toward health of youths monitored in local Missions and to understand their health care use (or non-use) behaviours in order to improve their access to care and to evaluate any impact on their social integration and job placement.
