Additional information regarding sample selection. first 3 consecutive patients meeting the selection criteria for general practitioners and the 6 first consecutive patients meeting the selection criteria for cardiologists, according to the following ratios:
- 1 treated obese or overweight hypertensive patient by GPs, 3 by cardiologists,
- 1 treated normal weight hypertensive patient by GPs, 3 by cardiologists,
- for GPs, the 3rd patient recruited can be obese, overweight or of normal weight.
Database objective
Main objective Find the determinants of the non-control of blood pressure in treated hypertensive patients who are overweight or obese compared to treated hypertensive patients of normal weight
Inclusion criteria Man or woman, over the age of 18 years, Having essential high blood pressure (HBP) treated for at least 1 year, Having a BMI < 25 kg/m² for patients of normal weight, Having a BMI ≥ 25 kg/m² for overweight or obese patients
