Database recruitment is carried out by an intermediary A selection of health institutions and services
Additional information regarding sample selection. The first group included control subjects, with no bipolar disorder, recruited by means of an advertisement (e.g. in shopping areas and sports associations). Euthymic bipolar outpatients were recruited from consultations. Bipolar patients presenting with a depressive, manic, hypomanic or mixed episodes were recruited from consecutive admissions as inpatients in general psychiatry units and as outpatients attending a consultation for a bipolar disorder (Charles Perrens Hospital, Bordeaux, France).
Database objective
Main objective To evaluate and validate the MAThyS (Multidimensional Assessment of Thymic States) Scale.
Inclusion criteria Bipolar patients in various states: euthymic, manic or depressed.
