Database objective
Main objective The COSET programme's general objective (Work-Related Epidemiological Surveillance Cohort) is to provide information on the health of the economically active population in connection with occupational factors. The programme shall help identify occupations and working conditions that pose a health risk, and provide prevention recommendations. The programme relies on data from multiple representative cohorts of economically active individuals from three principal social welfare schemes.. The DTS formed cohorts of workers affiliated with the MSA (Social Security Scheme for Agricultural Workers) (COSET-MSA) and the RSI (Social Security Scheme for Independent Workers) (see COSET-RSI sheet). The objectives of the COSET-MSA cohort are similar to the COSET programme that applies to workers affiliated with the agricultural scheme.

Specific objectives:
- To describe and monitor the links between morbidity/mortality between workers and occupational exposure, whether it is physical, chemical, psychosocial or organisational;
- To calculate morbidity/mortality fractions from occupational exposure factors;
- To promote the establishment of ad hoc studies to identify issues that are emerging or poorly documented in the scientific plan;
- To identify and monitor sub-populations affected by specific risks on a large scale;
- To compare workers affiliated with different social security schemes and monitored as part of the COSET programme.
Inclusion criteria Men and women between 18 and 65 years old and affiliated with the MSA the year prior to random selection.
