Database objective
Main objective Objectives: The main aims of this study are to assess the impact of structural factors (e.g. attendance at CAARUD [Reduction Support Centres for Drug Users] and CSAPA [Specialised Addiction Treatment Support and Prevention Centres]; prison; other environmental factors) and individual traits (personal history; sociodemographic factors; substance use; addictive disorder; other comorbidities) on trends in drug use, practices and treatment path; drug-user social circumstances, experience of violence and drug-related offences. Secondary aims involve drawing a map of the socio-behavioural situation of drug users; estimating the prevalence of specific drug use within the sample and to better understand the needs of drug users for treating addiction and also for screening and the management of disorders associated with drug use.
Inclusion criteria Inclusion criteria includes: regular users of illicit substances or diverted pharmaceuticals, who have injected drugs at least once within the last month; over 18 years old.
