Database objective
Main objective General objective: To define virus and host parameters associated with asymptomatic clinical status for 8 years or more following HIV infection. Secondary objective: HIV molecular characterisation, viral co-infections (HCV, CMV, HHV-8 ...); genetics and host immune response: CD4 T and anti-HIV CD8; anti-HIV antibodies and neutralising Ac; innate immunity, immune response to co-infections.
Inclusion criteria Men or women over 18 years old, homosexual or bisexual, withdrawing addicts, individuals who have undergone transfusions or haemophiliacs, seropositive for at least 8 years, receiving no antiretroviral treatment, (stage II) or (stage III), with a CD4 count above 20% and 600/mm3 (more or less 10%) with a stable or increasing count over a minimum of 3 examinations during the last 5 years, who have given signed and clear consent.
